Environmental Consulting

Starting with a Life Cycle Analysis of a product or a service is an eye opener of the real costs of a product and the environmental damage which can be caused. The goal in this service is the reduction of environmental impact of a company as well as minimizing the waste of resources. In the long run we can support you in the creation of infinite product loops, increasing efficiency and reducing costs.

Only in handshaking with nature and taking nature capital into account a company can be able to sustain its economic value.

To name a few key words in this area where we partner with you:

LCA

LCA

A life cycle analysis is the first step towards quantifying the real costs of a product or a service over its entire life cycle in a transparent way. The approach is taken from cradle-to-cradle. In other words, from the extraction of resources to the production, consumption and even usage after end-of-life.

It makes the stages transparent where significant environmental impacts occur and can lead to more sustainable practices. Moreover, it leads to an eye opener of the real costs of a product if being quantified.

This approach takes several impact categories into account, which are the following:

The life cycle analysis (LCA) can be broadly categorized into several key areas, which help in the assessment of environmental impacts. Here are the main categories which are conducted:

    • Acidification Potential
    • Biological Oxygen Demand
    • Chemical Oxygen Demand
    • Eutrophication Potential
    • Global Warming Potential
    • Human Toxicity
    • Photochemical Ozone Creation Potential
    • Resource Depletion Potential
    • Total Particulate matter
    • Total Organic Carbon

After the different implication factors are conducted, they are monetarized showcasing the real costs of a product.

ESG Reporting

ESG Reporting

In ESG reporting (Environment, Social, Governance) companies measure, evaluate, and publish their performance in terms of sustainability and corporate social responsibility (CSR) in a transparent way. ESG reporting covers a wide range of corporate activities that have an impact on the environment, society, and their own corporate governance. It can reflect in a transparent way where risks and opportunities are found, and continuous improvement can be conducted.

The reporting has an impact on the credibility of a company as well as for investors, shareholders and the public.

The categories can be narrowed down as follows:

Environment:

    • Energy consumption
    • Greenhouse Gas Emissions
    • Water consumption and pollution
    • Waste management and recycling
    • Raw material consumption and recycling
    • Environmental impacts of the supply chain

Social:

    • Working conditions and safety
    • Employee satisfaction
    • Equality and diversity
    • Human rights and labor standards along the supply chain
    • Social commitment and philanthropy

Governance:

    • Corporate ethics and integrity
    • Transparency and disclosure
    • Board structure and compensation
    • Risk management and compliance

ESG Reporting is already mandatory for a tremendous number of companies within the European Union, such as banks, insurance companies and stock corporations. Since 2025 it is also mandatory for companies which fulfil either one of the following categories: At least 250 employees, net sales of at least €50 million, and total assets of at least €25 million. From 2026, ESG reporting will also be mandatory for small and medium-sized enterprises if they are capital market-oriented and meet at least two of the following criteria: at least ten employees, total assets of at least €450,000, and sales of at least €900,000.

We support you in establishing a transparent and compliant ESG reporting.
